It does, thanks to both of you...

I'm actually thinking of nixing the corpsecart anyways as it seems to be a big point sink at this point level...with it I could only take level 1 necro as my general...everything else would put him ove the 25%

Is there any huge disadvantage to putting him in the big block of skeletons? This way I could get level 2 and have another spell on hand besides invocation of nehek

Or maybe something else needs to go instead...hmm....decisions, decisions

puting your characters in a unit is a good idea in many cases. While in a unit they can not be picked out by shooting as easily as when out by themselves. Also there are many spells that affect the caster and unit so while in a unit it makes these types of spells more effective.

Now I just need to decide if greatweapons are as awesome as I'm imagining and I think I got me a list!

Thanks to everyone who showed up. We had a good 14-16 players. Sorry about the handful who had to leave after the first round (hope you feel better Eric). And I hope a good time was had by all.

Next week will be the second and last week of the league, and all the rules will be the same (different missions though). Also dont forget the tournament of the 25th. It has its own thread so check for more info there (and as always I have armies to lend for the new players out there).

See you all next week, or whenever.

One small tip to new fantasy players, MODULAR MOVEMENT TRAYS!

$10 gets you enough for a few units and they will make playing a lot easier.

How to use the trays:

1. Select the side for your size bases.
2. Score along a line for the size of your unit
3. Break off at score.
4. Dry fit corners on and measures sides.
5. Cut threw sides with clippers or bone saw.
6. Glue and enjoy!

If you need help I work Wed-Sun afternoons.

I don't know if I can get away from work tomorrow, but I wanted to bring
an army. BUT I'm a little rusty on army building. The biggest thing I'm worried
about is unit standard vs musicians. Thoughts?

748 of 750 Pts - High Elves

Dragon Princes (180 pts)
4x Dragon Princes of Caledor
Musician
Drakemaster - General

Spearmen (240 pts)
24x Spearmen
Musician
Sentinel

Archers (110 pts)
10x Archers

Sword Masters of Hoeth (168 pts)

9x Sword Masters of Hoeth
Musician
Bladelord

Great Eagle (50 pts)
Great Eagle

Yeah.... 51 models at 750pts is kinda crazy but I think my weaknesses will be magic, tough fighty characters, and monsters.

Put standards in units that are your acting anvil, spearmen and put musician for the units you will use as your hammer/flanking forces because you need that free reform form time to time, Sword Masters and Dragon Princes.

Just a thought to consider.... Nice list though, me likes!
