I'm a little curious about this too. What are you going to do if the 6th edition rule set (and victory conditions) is dramatically different from the 5th ed. rules? You definitely wont be playing the same game in October that we are now.

It is typical to collect lists early for GTs. 2 months may be a little long but he does have to check them all for legality.

No one really knows when 6th edition will release this year. If it releases two months or more prior to the GT then there is a good chance we might use the new edition... Any closer to the weekend of October 6-7 we will still use 5th edition.

We want army lists well in advance so we have time to review them and provide feedback to players if we find any errors - this is much better in my opinion than not checking army lists ahead of time and then finding out someone has an illegal army and has won a few games. With 64 players it takes time to do a good job reviewing every army list and getting the ones with errors sorted.

REGISTRATION OPENS THIS WEEK !!!

Hi everyone !! BeakyCon will be held during the weekend of October 6-7 at the Marriott Tampa airport. One of the prizes we will be giving away is a 2000+ point dark eldar army pro painted by Next Level Painting. This includes two Sabol army cases as well as two Forgeworld Voidraven bombers.



This year we are expanding the field to 64 players - there will be six rounds using a W/L format with one undefeated player at the end. It's 2000 points and armies must be fully painted.

It's going to be a great time !! There are awards for Best General (Warmaster), 2nd Best General (Emperor's Champion), Best Army and Player's Choice. There will be lots of other cool prizes as such as Forgeworld goodies.

We will take the first 64 entries to register. Note that there are no refunds after the end of July. This year we will have more terrain, new dice and new objective markers. This year we will also allow registered players to order Beaky dice in sets of twelve.

Just over 48 hours and already we have 20 players registered.

Here is how the brackets will work this year...

At the end of the first day after three rounds:

8 players are 3-0
24 players are 2-1
32 players have one win or less

The eight undefeated players go into the Golden Bracket on day two fighting for the title of Warmaster (best general) and the Emperor's Champion (2nd best general).

The 24 players that are 2-1 will go into the Silver Bracket. The three players to finish with a 5-1 record will all be crowned the Chosen.

The players who finish Day One with one or less win will play in an RTT format the second day and start again with fresh scores.

There will be awards and prizes for all the top spots.
