Games Day 2010

Postby Enigmai on November 24th, 2009, 10:32 am

Greetings,
GW has apparently changed philosophy regarding Games Days. They are only having one next year and it is in Baltimore, MD.

I am interested in going and I have calculated cost so far:

Air, Hotel, and Rental ranges from $400 to $500 depending on number of participants.
Tickets go on sale November 27th and are generally $65
Tournaments in the past were $20
Food is up to you, I have budgeted $100

Now the cost for hotels and travel is if I purchase today so it will change as time passes but I am fairly confident that it will be in that range.

So for about $600 you can go to Baltimore Games Day 2010, interested?

Tim,

Skip the rental and use B-More's light rail system. It stops right next to the convention center. Also, if you're staying at one of the BWI hotels, they have shuttle service to get you to/from both the airport and the light rail terminal. This is what I did this summer, stayed at the Townplace Suites by Marriott at BWI for half the cost of the downtown hotels. King size bed, fridge, microwave, and two burner stove top with basic kitchen utensils (plates, cups, pots, pans, etc), free wireless, free breakfast buffet each morning (eggs, toast, sausage, cereal), coin laundry, and it only took about 35 min to get to/from the show.
Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll

Hi,

Any chance I can give the cash for someone to get me some of those exclusive/free miniature you get for going there? I have had people I knew before get them for me off random people for like $15 if I remember correctly.

Anyone please let me know.
