I'm in that boat too. Then again by the rate I paint and as seldom as I get to play, the new Chaos book will be out by then and then all bets are off. I've been playing Chaos since the early 90's. The reason I can't just have an Imperial Guard army...it has to be a traitor guard army.

Been playing Necrons for a while. Played them in the last Ard Boys Tourny as well (getting stomped by Grey Knights) I plan to bring them to the first 1500 league tomorrow/Wed. Have a pretty solid list planned through my head and also working with what models I have.

Necrons were my second army in 40K (Second to Eldar) and my army has been in stasis for more than 4 years. I don't think I have played them since 4th edition.

Anyway I plan on playing them again once. They have been moved up on the project list.

All in all I am pleased with the codex and unlike many of the old Necron players I like the changes in fluff. There is more meat there with lots of opportunity to create your own themes (my favorite part of the hobby).

Im not lol. I have too many armies as it is I never get the chance to play. Never let it be said that I am a bandwagon player. I might pick the book up for the fluff, it sounds interesting.

well, someone at mini-wargaming has issued a challenge for someone to make the ghost ark/doomsday ark convertible to run either or from one kit and if they put up a video first they get one free. Since i cannot afford one if someone is willing to let me look at the directions at least i could figure out if it would be possible or not (i'd even do it for someone if i know them well enough and i can see it as possible without a huge headache). so unless you are getting one already for yourself, dont bother.

I did it. It's not perfect but it grasps the concept and uses a lot of magnets. I'm bringing it all Wed.

Enough of a pain in the ass to say that I decided not to do it for the second one lol.
