YUP!
I am going to start using the Forums to sign people up for tournaments here and tampa. it will keep things in one place, easy to reference, easy to see who is going to be there from the player perspective, and will hopefully encourage more people to get on the forums
:)

Does the original owner still run the place? I think his name was Charles. I know he had some unusual missions at times.

I would like to see the point values drop to 1500 or 1850 or even rotate each month, 1500-1859-2250. One thing I always asked Charles but never really took to heart is that the same people showed up every tournament with the same armies. The point value was too high to enocurage new people to step in. At least starting every now and then on 1500 makes a reasonable goal for an army and then the next step to 350 and 400 points don't seem like huge jumps then. I stopped going as I can only go to one or two a month at best and I like ot meet new people, new armies, new styles of tatics and playing...the same stuff over and over got a bit old which is a downfall if you ask me.

There was a local tournament here where we played doubles, that was 2000pts split between the players, even 2250 would be nice in this respect. Games played faster as you had two people moving models, rolling dice and dealing with different aspects of the board quickly. I'd love to see this come to be Mike....

I believe there is an error here. These are the stats for Fantasy and this is clearly a 40K RTT. Mike correct me if I am wrong but normally the points total is 1850.

Charles has always hosted 2250 events at his store...this was because people wanted "bigger" games and more space to play with points. The problem is that 2250 for 40k tends to get a bit chunky and takes awhilie to play longer than a tournament allows within reason. Charles also did his own missions which some was well done and others was just a bit too complex to play at higher points in a tournament setting. Smaller point values I think many would have worked better.

I don't think Mike posted this event wrong. I know his standard events are usually 1850 for the Kiss. Store....

After playing 6 games and 2 solid days with 2500 points during the first 2 rounds of the 'Ard Boys tournament, I agree that anything above 1850 in a tournament it too much. I was totally spent after both of those days, had a good time but exhausted.

This is coming from someone who like playing with big armies. I really don't enjoy any game below 1500 points in 40K and 2000 points in fantasy.

Yea, you want a game that is just right....I play sometimes 1500pt tournaments but they are 4 rounds. They are toally draining also. You get to the last round and your brain feels like jello.
