  • New comics will arrive Wednesday, 5/7. HUGE Week!!!!
  • Image Comics announced that The Astounding Wolf-Man, by Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard, will go monthly beginning in July.
  • DC Comics announced that Catwoman #82, not #81 as originally solicited, will be the final issue of the series.
  • Transformers Animated joins Cartoon Network's weekday lineup beginning Monday. The series will air Monday-Friday at 6 a.m. Upcoming episodes include "Mission Accomplished" on Monday; "Home is Where the Spark is" on Tuesday; "Total Meltdown" on Wednesday; "Blast from the Past" on Thursday; and "The Thrill of the Hunt" on Friday.
  • Following a huge box-office performance of Iron Man over the weekend, Marvel Entertainment on Monday announced a series of Avengers films, beginning with an Iron Man sequel. Iron Man 2 is scheduled for an April 30, 2010 release. During its first quarter conference call on Monday morning, Marvel Studios' David Maisel said that the date will continue Marvel's tradition of kicking off the summer movie season. "We view that as an optimum time," Maisel said. Thor is scheduled for a June 4, 2010 release and The First Avenger: Captain America for May 6, 2011, with The Avengers for July 2011.
  • Lionsgate has announced it is moving up the release of The Spirit movie to Dec. 25. It was originally scheduled for a Jan. 16 release. Lionsgate will now have two comics-inspired films in December. Marvel's Punisher: War Zone is scheduled for a Dec. 5 release.
Abe Sapien: The Drowning #4 from Dark Horse. Written by Mike Mognola and art by Jason Shawn Alexander. "The terrible secrets of Saint Sébastien come to light as Abe pushes deeper into the mystery of the island and a legacy of evil that spans the life of humanity itself." This issue will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.
Action Comics Annual #11 from DC. Written by Geoff Johns and Richard Donner; Art and cover by Adam Kubert; Variant cover by Kubert. "The extra-length conclusion to "Last Son" is here! All-New Atom # 23 from DC. Written by Rick Remender; Cover by Ladrönn; Art by Pat Olliffe and John Stanisci. American Dream #1 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Tom DeFalco, with art by Todd Nauck and a cover by Ron Frenz. American Splendor Season Two #2 (of 4) from Vertigo. Written by Harvey Pekar; Art by Ty Templeton, David Lapham, Hunt Emerson, Dean Haspiel, Lora Innes and José Marzan, Greg Budgett and Gary Dumm, Josh Neufeld and Zachary Baldus; Cover by Darick Robertson. "It's an American Splendor filled with personal growth for Harvey Pekar, as he learns to compromise with an artist, attends a town meeting, reaches a truce with his cat and learns new and interesting facts from the local barber, among other extraordinary tales of everyday existence.
